What the checker looks for
Meta’s most common rejection reasons are applied to your template as you type, each with a suggested fix:
- A variable at the start or end of the template — a very common rejection.
- Two variables in a row with no text between them.
- Non-sequential variable numbering (it must start at 1 with no gaps).
- Shortened links such as bit.ly — use your own full domain.
- Promotional content inside a utility template (the costliest category mistake).
- Content categories prohibited on WhatsApp.
- Excessive emoji and all-caps text.
- Exceeding the 1024-character limit and bloated formatting.
- Too many variables — each one is another chance of rejection.
Your privacy

Why approval matters
The official WhatsApp API only lets you message a customer outside an open conversation through a Meta-approved template. A rejected template delays your campaign or stalls your order notifications — and each new rejection costs time a two-second check would have saved.
