How to get WhatsApp Business API in Saudi Arabia

The real requirements for official WhatsApp in Saudi Arabia — commercial registration, business verification, the number and the display name — and how long each takes.

Getting the official WhatsApp Business API is not as complex as people claim, but it usually stalls on small details. This page collects all of them before you start.

What you actually need

Requirement Detail
A valid commercial registration Under the same business name you will verify with Meta
A Meta business account Created in minutes; holds your number and business name
A mobile number Not currently registered on WhatsApp (regular or Business) — or deregister it first
A matching display name Your business name as registered; Meta rejects generic or misleading names
An approved tech provider Such as Fynchat — you cannot operate without one

You do not need: a unified 920 number, a landline, or registration on any particular platform. Any Saudi mobile number works.

How long does it take?

  • The connection itself: minutes.
  • Business verification: hours to days depending on how complete your documents are. You can send within lower limits before it completes.
  • First template approval: usually minutes to 24 hours.

Messaging limits and how they rise

Your number starts with a daily cap on business-initiated conversations, which rises automatically as you send with good quality and your business gets verified:

1,000 → 10,000 → 100,000 → unlimited

What lifts you: customer engagement and few blocks. What lowers you: spam reports and repeated blocking — which is exactly why you should never message purchased lists.

The three most common blockers

  1. The number is already on WhatsApp: delete the account from the app (Settings → Account → Delete my account) and retry. Or use coexistence to keep it working in the app.
  2. Display name rejected: match your registered business name exactly — not "Best Offers", not a generic word.
  3. Verification documents do not match: the registered name and address must match what you entered in your Meta account, character for character.
